The response from Australian students to news of our special program this summer in Tanzania has been amazing, the spaces are filling up really fast and we are all set for an amazing event!

 

There has been so much interest that we are extending this special Australian program to include our newest base in Thailand!

 

 Like the Tanzania program; from Sunday 6th of January 2013 the Gap Medics Jungle house in Chang Mai will become home to around 40 students travelling from schools all over Australia and its going to be an incredible experience for everyone coming along!

In addition to your work placement at the hospital the house is going to be an amazing communal base for the trip where you will have the opportunity to meet loads of fellow students and enjoy the surroundings together; evenings and weekends will be your time to explore and see the incredible sights, perhaps take a jungle trek, visit an elephant sanctuary or many students actually spend a weekend visiting the southern islands which is only a short flight away.

Life at the house is great fun; we have a full team of management and support staff on site to offer all the support you may require including catering staff who prepare a fantastic array of local and international specialties for your enjoyment throughout the stay with us and if all the adventure sounds like too much then you could always just relax by the pool.

 A Gap Medics placement in Thailand this summer is a unique opportunity for students to experience real medicine in a working hospital environment; you will be working alongside respected medical professionals, observing procedures and surgeries, assisting on ward rounds, joining regular clinical tuition seminars and gaining real and academically relevant experience in a whole array of healthcare areas.
