This is also known as Chinese medicine. It is very similar to Ayurveda. Like Ayurveda, this makes use of various herbs and other natural plant extracts which are combined in formulas that target various ailments. It also makes use of massages, dietary counselling, heat therapy and a few others. Chinese medicine is used to cure chronic illnesses as well as acute ailments.
A very popular form of alternate medicine all over the world, homeopathy helps in building up a person’s immune system. It combines a wide variety of natural remedies that are then combined in specific proportions and combinations for each individual depending on the kind of illness that the person suffers. These medicines then build up the defence system to that particular illness. Homeopathy is considered completely safe for children as well and it is often used to treat children who suffer from various ailments. It is also used for various chronic illnesses and allergies.
Flower remedies were introduced to the world by Edward Bach. These remedies are made purely from the extract of flowers and are considered to be very safe and non-reactive with other forms of medicines. The flower remedies are aimed at emotional problems since they are said to be able to change any kind of disharmony which may be present in the mind. They are widely used to cope with any form of mental stress or trouble.
Similar to Bach remedies, flower essences work on the belief that negative emotional feelings can affect a person in various ways and can have a detrimental effect on their health. The flower essences act on these mental and emotional problems and aim at creating a positive emotional outlook. They are either directly consumed by placing them under the tongue or they may be had mixed with a beverage.

The concept is based on healing energy which is transmitted to various parts of the body and this energy helps the person to heal themselves through a spiritual medium. Reiki is practiced differently by different people based on their techniques and execution.
Unlike Reiki which completely focuses on using only the hands and a spiritual approach to healing, Tibetan medicine uses herbs and other kinds of naturally available substances for treatment. This form of medicine is very similar to Ayurveda, Persian medicine and Chinese medicine. Various minerals, herbs, roots, flowers, fruits, plants etc. are used and made into tablets. These tablets are then given to people based on the kind of problem they are suffering from. Tibetan medicine focuses more on physical problems than the mental state of mind and it has become a popular medium to treat asthma, diabetes, rheumatism and several other common ailments.
