Hospital doctor shadowing & global health experience programs.
Students on our Warsaw program can now join us for an action-packed weekend adventure in the heart of Poland’s awesome lake district – think camping, kayaking, archery, paintballing, climbing and raft building, all topped off with an incredible yacht cruise; the perfect way to unwind after a busy week in the hospital.
If you’re joining us for a shadowing placement in Warsaw this summer, your trip is fast approaching! We can’t wait, and we know you can’t either – you’re probably elbow-deep in preparations; excited about gaining that all-important insight into your dream career, making new friends, and discovering a new city.
You’ll have at least one free weekend during your stay, and you might be wondering about the best way to spend it. There’s a lot to do in Warsaw, but if you want to escape the hustle and bustle and experience a different side of Europe, we’ve got the perfect solution.
Sign up for our brand new Wilderness & Sailing Adventure and join us for a journey into the wilderness, where you’ll spend two days exploring the forest, learning basic rescue and survival skills, and trying your hand at an array of exciting outdoor activities. Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before; it’s all about having a go and trying something new! Plus, experienced instructors will be on-hand to guide you every step of the way.
If chilling out is more your style, you’ll really enjoy Sunday’s cruise! You’ll spend the day on a yacht, gliding across the incredible Lake Jeziorak. You can go swimming, learn about sailing, or just chill out and sunbathe on the deck. This particular lake is considered one of the most beautiful sites in Poland, and you’ll have plenty of time to appreciate the breath-taking scenery.
Not only will your adventure be a great opportunity to relax, it’ll also be the perfect time to bond with your fellow students. Group activities build communication and team-working skills – essential attributes for the aspiring medic, and another great thing to mention on your university applications and resume.
The whole weekend is organised to fit in perfectly with your placement schedule – we’ll make sure you’re back at the Gap Medics house in time for the weekend welcome party, or a flight home on Sunday evening.
