Pre Physician Assistant Shadowing

As a pre-PA student, shadowing a physician can be a valuable part of your clinical experience portfolio and is a requirement for an increasing number of PA schools.

Students joining the Global Pre-Meds program as pre-PA are placed alongside their pre-med peers, with the same opportunities to shadow the same physicians. This makes it ideal if you are still weighing up which route to take, or if you change your mind later down the line – the experience is still relevant.

The program will give you a minimum of 40 hours clinical shadowing in a hospital, mentored by a medical doctor, and a chance to start building a national – and international – network of like-minded future health professionals.

Being in the hospital I was able to see a multitude of different surgeries and patients, I now have a much greater knowledge of health care thanks to what I was able to experience in the hospital. All around one of the greatest experiences of my life, I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out and I sincerely hope to do it again one day.
